Fee information may be withheld
Article Abstract:
Universities concerned about the levels at which to set their bursaries and tuition fees may withhold information from their 2006 prospectus, thereby leaving sixth-formers temporarily unaware of the cost of study. The Secondary Heads Association reacted by stating that sixth-formers would avoid universities that failed to divulge the information in a timely manner and that the late publication of the financial details would be "self-defeating".

Leeds Met sets fees at UKPd2,000
Article Abstract:
Leeds Metropolitan University has set an annual flat-rate fee of about UKPd2,000 for all degree courses that it offers. The price undercuts its rivals by as much as UKPd1,000 and raises the possibility that other institutions could follow its lead and charge fees far below the maximum of UKPd3,000.
