Task force zeroes in on profit pursuers
Article Abstract:
A copyright task force was set up by the American Association of Universities and the Association of Research Libraries, to investigate publishing rights in the electronic sector. The current cost of providing university staff and students with copyright-paid paper copies are too high, and the group has looked into methods of by-passing the existing system in order to bring down costs. Details of their suggestions are given.

Lesson books in profit and loss
Article Abstract:
Many Russian students are having difficulty supporting themselves while studying. Grants are available to those who get good grades, but they are insufficient to live on. Students sell goods to tourists or even become part-time prostitutes to keep themselves. Others travelabroad and buy large quantities of goods to sell in Moscow, or buy currency andexchange it for roubles.
