The human face of a selfish gene
Article Abstract:
In Darwin's theory of evolution human beings' finer motives such as unselfishness and honesty are not necessary for survival. Human beings are sometimes helpful to individuals to whom they are unrelated and are unlikely to meet again which is contrary to that theory. Some observers feel that as international links grow and strengthen this altruistic behaviour will be necessary for the human race to prosper and survive.
