Exorcist on an unholy crusade
Article Abstract:
D.H. Lawrence, the writer, had violent inclinations toward women, which can be observed in his writing, especially his enthusiasm for sodomy committed on women. His portrayals of male-female relationships extol domination by men of women, with the emphasis growing more strongly throughout his writing career. This aspect of Lawrence's work was not noted by F.R. Leavis, in his critical appraisals, and Lawrence's obsessions should not be accepted in the name of enlightenment.
