Top-up teens want more for their money
Article Abstract:
Two-thirds of teenagers polled in The Times Higher-Hobsons UK School Leaver Recruitment Review expect higher standards of teaching at universities in return for paying tuition fees of up to GBP 3000 per year, a 4 percent rise on 2005. Young people increasingly want free services on campus, with 32 percent expecting free use of sports grounds and gymns, vs 29 percent in 2005.

Leeds Met fees net high interest
Article Abstract:
Leeds Metropolitan University has seen a 12.6 percent rise in applications in 2006, compared with 2005. Leeds Metropolitan charges the lowest tuition fees at GBP 2000, compared with all but three other universities charging GBP 3000.
