Understanding society: realism and romanticism in sociology

Sociological studies are colored by disparate perceptions of the world. Romanticism presents social phenomena by attacking bourgeois values, while realism seeks to portray society in terms of absolute limits, boundaries and definitions imposed by places and communities.
