Article Abstract:
An analysis of the Glastonbury Festival and how it has changed in the 35 years since it was first staged. It is contended that many of the original counter-culture elements of the festival have given way to commercialisation and that the real left-field elements of the festival are now to be found away from the main music stages, on which the media focus the majority of their attention, and in the fields where theatre troupes or circus acts can be found performing.

It is argued that, at present, the Anglican Communion's policy towards homosexuality is a mess and that academic theologians need to put themselves forward and challenge those that promote homophobia.
