When he's bard, he's pretty bard
Article Abstract:
Kings College Cambridge, England, Academic Frank Kermode explains he tries to write truthfully about the work of Dramatist William Shakespeare pointing out Shakespeare wrote poorly at times. In his new book 'Shakespeare's Language' Kermode is very critical about scholars, such as the new historics. He points out the most important thing about the work of Shakespeare is the language. He feels people should not be diverted from the words by considering how the plays were performed or whether Shakespeare actually wrote the plays. Kermode's book is due to be published in Apr 2000.

The fine art of making it by faking it
Article Abstract:
Writers committing plagiarism are considered much worse than forgers. Forgers invent a new piece of work and pass it off as someone elses whilst plagiarists copy work which they go on to pretend is their own. Some famous forgeries have been accepted by the establishment, such as the 'Oath of a Freeman' by Mark Hofmann which was only discovered to be a forgery when the forger admitted his actions. Sometimes the forger includes a joke or parody within the text.
