When torture is the least evil of terrible options
Article Abstract:
Alan Dershowitz, professor of law at Harvard University, argues that the refusal of the United States to openly debate the possible use of non-lethal torture techniques in order to gain information is what led to the abuses that took place at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. Dershowitz contends that, if all other methods have been exhausted, any democracy would use non-lethal torture technique to extract information and that if such a system were to be instituted, a warrant requirement should also be put in place to make sure that all those who used torture could be held accountable for their actions.

Sorry, vacancy filled...
Article Abstract:
Australia has, since 2001, had a policy of granting permanent residence visas to foreign graduates from selected Australian courses and this has resulted in large increass in the number of foreign student enrolments and in revenue to universities. However, this has distorted the graduate job market in the country, damaged employment prospects for home graduates and resulted in a large fall in local enrolments in IT.
