Where to study? Phone a friend
Article Abstract:
A survey has revealed that young people rely more on the advice of their friends than on the opinions of teachers and parents when it comes to choose which university to attend. Susan McGrath, project leader for the survey, which quizzed 500 sixth form students in Manchester, UK, and education liaison officer at Manchester Metropolitan University, described the results of the survey as surprising and very worrying. Of those surveyed, 45% stated that they rely on the advice of friends to help inform their university choice, while 36% stated that the preferred to talk to form tutors.

Article Abstract:
An examination of the current debate in the Anglican Church surrounding the issue of homosexuality. It is argued that the increasingly rancorous nature of the debate is in danger of making religion the preserve of fundamentalists, obscuring Christian wisdom on the importance of relationships and love.
