Zoology is the latest victim of audit culture
Article Abstract:
Efforts to improve Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) have affected staff recruitment and retention in different fields of Zoology in turn affecting teaching in this field that leads to a very poor knowledge for students regarding the basics of the subject. This decline is thought to reach at the school level gradually, seriously affecting students' ability to comprehend any aspect of biological sciences.

Article Abstract:
An overview of the future of fossil fuels in the light of claims that there are more environmentally friendly sustainable alternatives available. It is argued that there is no reason to do away with fossil fuels, that there are enough fossil fuels available to last for hundreds of years and that the technology is already available to make fossil fuels zero-emission fuels.
