MP3s invade home audio on disc
Article Abstract:
A number of consumer electronics manufacturers have launched MP3 capable digital video disc (DVD) players and/or compact disc (CD) minisystems. These include Taiwanese electronics maker Raite, which has unveiled four models of DVD players capable of reading MP3 files, and Sharp, which has introduced its MD-MT15 portable MD recorder. Meanwhile, other audio and video equipment makers such as Aiwa, Kenwood, Philips and Sony, are in the process of developing their own MP3-capable products.

Bridging the way to digital TV
Article Abstract:
The release of the first generation of high-definition digital televisions has also seen the introduction of bridge products. These are modular products equipped with ports that makes them compatible with both the present level of technology and any possible future upgrade. Some of these products include the ProScan 36- and 32-inch SVGA multimedia monitors from Thomson, the TU-DST50 DTV receiver from Panasonic and the XV-ZW99 front projector from Sharp.
