CES Wrap-Up: Video Programming
Article Abstract:
Few suppliers of video programming showed up at the 1984 Winter CES. Importance of the Winter CES has diminished for video programming as a result of the growth of the annual Video Software Dealers Association's meeting. The few suppliers who did appear are seeing a vast improvement in the market over last year. Vestro Video executives announced that sales of Michael Jackson's Thriller have passed 125,000 units. Sales of Paramount's Raiders of the Lost Ark have surpassed the half million mark. Suppliers expect overall sales in 1984 to reach the fourteen million mark.
