Sharp focuses on DTV issues
Article Abstract:
Sharp executives believe the key to high definition television is not so much in generating the fabulous picture but to address all the various needs of consumers as they shift into the digital world. Because of this reasoning, Sharp intends to develop various kinds of products, including a digital TV that has a 16 x 9 screen and the capacity to manage all interlaced and progressive formats. Sharp also plans to address the issue of broadcast reception. It is currently testing and working to raise sensitivity to enable users in close range of signal to receive pictures with minimal use of antenna.
