IC-R75 broadband receivers
Article Abstract:
Icom has introduced the IC-R75 communications receiver for use between the 30Khz and 60Mhz frequency range. The IC-R75 can receive upper sideband, lower sideband, continuous wave, radio teletype and AM and FM signals. It features a digital signal processor to reduce noise and automatic notching for eliminating radio interference from tuning. The IC-R75 can also be operated from a PC through its control software. It measures 229 x 241 x 94 mm and weighs about 3 kg.

Japan aims for full broadband coverage by 2010
Article Abstract:
A study report made by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications group, 'Next Generation Broadband Concept 2010,' attempts to make broadband available to all parts of the country. The study groups is looking for next-generation concepts and develop them, such as the Ultra High-Speed Interactive Broadband Network (UIBN).
