Olympus, Mitsui form venture related to genetic data

Olympus Optical Co Ltd and Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co Ltd have formed a joint venture to develop technology for analyzing genetic and other biological information. To be called NovusGene, the Tokyo, Japan-based joint venture will employ advanced biomolecular computing technology and will offer various analytical services related to genomic information. The new company's research and development efforts will center on the development of biomolecular computing technology, particularly in the field of DNA computing.

EXB2HV array chip resistors
Article Abstract:
Matsushita Electronic Components Co Ltd's EXB2HV array chip fixed resistors feature eight elements in parallel with a dimension of 3.8X1.6X 0.45mm. Its ratings are measured 1/16W per element or 1/4W per package, with a 10 ohm to 1M ohm resistance value range. The EXB2HV provides a 25V maximum operating voltage and a 50V maximum overload voltage. It is capable of superior high-frequency characteristics and will operate in upcoming bus lines of 100MHz or more.
