Sanyo zooms in on color features, business uses for CCTV systems

Sanyo Electric Company Ltd, which is strengthening its closed-circuit TV (CCTV) business in Japan and overseas, stresses the company's mainstay products include cameras in 1/3-in, 1/2-in and 1/4-in color CCD versions, as well as in 1/2-in and 1/3-in monochrome models. The company, which sells CCTV systems and equipment for PAL and NTSC formats, offers cameras that usually have such features as automatic white balance, flicker-free operation and backlight correction.

SK-777 portable broadcast cameras
Article Abstract:
Hitachi Denshi Ltd has developed the SK-777 switchable, portable camera. It is compatible with digital broadcast signals and handles 16:9 aspect ratios. It works in resolutions with 850 horizontal TV lines. It provides 640,000 pixels for NTSC sigal formats and 740,000 for PAL signal formats. In the PAL mode, the camera exhibits high S/N ratios of 61dB and 63dB in the NTSC mode. Its power consumption is 16.5W.
