The new electric frontier - distribution design
Article Abstract:
Distribution expenses account for 16% of capital budget and distribution losses count for more than half of all losses on typical system. Automating certain tasks can improve reliability of system and save money. Tasks ideal for computerization are forecasting, long and short term planning, system analysis, plant-investment optimization, loss minimization, load management, and construction control.
