VCR market may recover with latest models' fine picture quality
Article Abstract:
Japan's annual market for video cassette recorders (VCR) could grow in fiscal year 2000, with shipments totalling about 6.8 million units. The forecasted recovery of the VCR market is attributed to the introduction of models with fine picture quality, such as Victor Company of Japan's Super VHS model. These VCRs have also incited high demand because of their reduced power consumption, fast forward and rewind speeds, and improved program booking and recording function.
