Buyer-supplier relationships in firms adopting advanced manufacturing technology: an empirical analysis of the implementation of hard and soft technologies

Article Abstract:

Buyers' implementation of soft technologies is made even more efficient with the participation of suppliers, than when the same participation is done on hard technologies. This finding is the result of an analysis done in a number of Turkish automotive firms with advanced manufacturing technologies. Advanced manufacturing technologies are divided into two: soft, which are those related to production management, and hard, which are those related to plant and equipment.
