Motor modules put the squeeze on inaccuracy
Article Abstract:
Israeli-based electric motor firm Nanomotion has developed a reversed piezoelectric motor which creates force by simultaneously deforming crystals which converts into oscillating movements which can be harnessed to provide power. The new electric motor could be used in electric devices which require little or no movement, such as optical disks or the semiconductor industry. Internal body devices may also be fitted with a piezoelectric motor.
