NISCI success could improve quality 20% to 70%
Article Abstract:
The US National Initiative for Supply Chain Integration (NISCI), formed to improve the efficiency of supply chains in all industries, may add greater benefits to its members by reducing the links in the chain between customers and suppliers. NISCI has identified seven obstacles that inhibit supply-chain efficiency and is working towards changes that entail a cross-functional and cross- industrial way of thinking. The benefits include a 20% to 70% quality improvement, a 30% to 90% reduction in cycle-time response and at least a threefold increase in technological advances.

Guide to benchmarking resources
Article Abstract:

However, the successful implementation of the benchmarking techniques involves effective personnel training and adequate research on the company's production processes. In addition, trade networking and the use of consultancy services also bolster the success of benchmarking techniques.
