Analysing divergent logistic networks with local (R,S) inventory control
Article Abstract:
An analysis of divergent logistic networks is presented. The analysis focuses on networks which feature local inventory control. Nodal inventories are monitored by a periodic review technique based on order-up-to level. The network performance is then examined by applying an approximate method. It is shown that approximation accuracy sets sufficient conditions for designing global networks.

Improving buyer-seller system cooperation through inventory control
Article Abstract:
Cooperation in a buyer-seller system is considered in the case of a monopolistic market. Two models are developed to evaluate how such systems can be improved in terms of inventory control. Greater profits and maximum order quantity are obtained under a cooperative buyer-seller system. Seller wholesale prices to the buyer are also lower with cooperation than noncooperation.
