Article Abstract:
The majority of problems attributed to stepper motors in mechanical systems are, in fact, due to errors in system design. The most common problem is insufficient protective screening leading to electrical interference. The ways to avoid problems include use of an appropriate earthing system, use of screened cable, taking care with encoders, suppression of inductive circuits and mains filtering.

Law-breaking labels?: any conscientious electrician will ensure that their electrical installation work is completed to BS 7671 requirements, but are contractors actually leaving themselves open to potential legal action from misleading or inadequate labels
Article Abstract:
Electricians may be open to possible legal action for issuing required certification without additional information. Inspection labels are aimed at giving clear and concise information but on additional or alteration work they can be confusing as there may not be an existing label, and if there is, fitting a new label could mean two inspection dates.
