Stability problems in inventory theory
Article Abstract:
The stability of two inventory replenishment policies was investigated. The first, which is known as the finite capacity store model, is a discrete-time inventory model with demand and supply in lots of predetermined size. Its stability over finite time interval with respect to changes in the initial inventory level and distributions of the underlying processes is established. The second, which is known as the exponential growth model, is continuous-time inventory model that considers the 'deterioration and manufacturing of the stocked material.'

The implementation and use of material requirements planning system in Northern Greece: a case study
Article Abstract:
The application of material requirements planning (MRP) on a typical Greek firm was studied in terms of effects and relationships created by the computerized system. MRP is a systems-based information system that covers several activities such as purchasing, manufacturing, scheduling and planning. Its use in Greece is not as extensive as in the more developed countries. Results of the case study indicates that Greek firms should adopt it because of its inventory reduction and delivery improvement characteristics.

Information systems design requirements for inventory management: a conceptual approach
Article Abstract:
The design needs of an inventory management scheme are derived using a case study for lot size calculation in a Greek company and incorporating not only syntactical and technical aspects but also the semantic and cognitive aspects pertinent to user and manager interaction. Concepts from software engineering, cognitive science and artificial intelligence are also used to assure the completeness of the model.
