Statistics for dummies: how to make SPC fun and (somewhat) easy
Article Abstract:
The concepts of histograms, process capability, and gauge repeatability and reproducibility often present difficulties in the teaching of statistical process control. The design of humorous and interactive group activities for explaining these concepts can go a long way in making the learning process more fun and in improving the retention of these highly technical skills in the students.

The efforts to reactivate the Jacksonville (FL) ASQ section are delineated. Volunteers conducted phone surveys to know the preferences of the members and strategic objectives are set to end up in a record breaking section roster of 350 ASQ members.
