Students aren't learning quality principles in business schools
Article Abstract:
The structure of business schools makes it difficult to constantly emphasize quality management principles within the curriculum. Corporate executives who have hands-on experience with quality management can help address this lack by teaching in business schools. Executives can learn from the exposure, while companies can recruit from among the best students. Time requirements can be managed if teaching executives take only a few classes, practice team teaching, specify course objectives and use various classroom approaches such as lectures, training modules and class discussion.

Producing managers right the first time
Article Abstract:
The quality control philosophy of doing everything right the first time should also be applied to the training of managers. A study of 199 educational facilities with graduate business programs showed that their curricula must be changed to emphasize learning and comprehension of business theories. Additionally, they should train their students to adapt the principles learned to practice. Cooperation between business people and educators may ensure continued and earnest adherence of management to quality.
