Thwart corrosion under industrial insulation
Article Abstract:
Corrosion under insulation (CUI) can be prevented with the selection of the correct materials and the subsequent proper installation and maintenance. CUI, which can be a costly and dangerous problem, is caused by the presence of moisture, the chemical content of the water reacting with both carbon and stainless steel and the temperature of the liquid being handled. A wregular visual inspection can help detect potential problems with CUI.

Compressor packing provides true non-lube seal
Article Abstract:
Hoerbiger Corp of America's OT Wiper Packing uses naturally occurring oil sticktion forces to provide a true non-lube seal in packing. It can be used on any type of reciprocating compressor to solve long-standing leakage problems. In addition, it avoids oil purchase and disposal, and their costs, and provides reductions in downtime since it increases compressor reliability.
