Assessment of manure phosphorus export through turfgrass sod production in Erath County, Texas
Article Abstract:
A best management practice (BMP) for exporting manure phosphorus (P) in turfgrass sod from the North Bosque River (NBR) watershed in central Texas in the United States of America is assessed using a geographic information system (GIS). Results of the study indicate that application of GIS to large-scale planning and decision-making transcends traditional field-scale applications in precision agriculture.

Environmental benefits and economic costs of manure incorporation on dairy waste application fields
Article Abstract:
The economic and environmental impacts of solid manure incorporation relative to surface manure application are assessed through model simulations performed representing dairies in a 93000 ha watershed in north central Texas. It is stated that manure incorporation helps in the reduction of phosphorus and nitrogen losses, and saves costs as well.

Impact of food industrial waste on anaerobic co-digestion of sewage sludge and pig manure
Article Abstract:
Two investigations into sewage sludge and pig manure, show the performance of the anaerobic digestion process. The results showed high levels of ammonia, leading to a highly buffered system.
