Diversity: Between neutrality and structure
Article Abstract:
The integrated framework for species abundance distributions (SADs) goes beyond the neutral theory without relying on complex mechanistic models are presented. The results for marine phytoplankton illustrate that both neutral and non neutral mechanisms coexist in nature and they seem to have different weights in different groups of organisms.

Spatial-temporal population dynamics across species range: From centre to margin
Article Abstract:
Spatial-temporal patterns of birth and death rates and migration across a species' range in different seasons are simulated. Results demonstrate that the multiple equilibria of metapopulations across a species' range could be easily broken following climatic changes or physical disturbances either local or regional.

Self-similarity in species-area relationship and in species abundance distribution
Article Abstract:
An important facet of ecological inquiry is the search for general regularities in diversity patterns and their interpretation. Two main points of interest are species abundance distribution and species-area relationship.
