Ecotourism management in China's nature reserves
Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on the viability of ecotourism as a sustainable development plan in China, along with suggestions for its enhancement. These include adopting a national strategy providing operational definitions and guidelines; dividing nature reserves into two classifications, highly protected and sustainably managed; ensuring sufficient training of staff; and monitoring environmental conditions of the reserves.

Proper forest management can help control these negative impacts, preventing costly degradation repair and in turn improving the economy.
