Effects of maternal exposure to estrogen and PCB on different life stages of zebrafish (Danio rerio)
Article Abstract:
Maternal exposure to estrogen and three specific PCBs were studied to determine how the substances affected the life-stage of zebrafish (Danio rerio). Alterations of fecundity, early life-stage mortality, morphology, and histological changes were reported in zebrafish via the mother's exposure to PCB-104, PCB-60, PCB-90 and and the estrogenic hormone estradiol. The mortality profiles that were established do not resemble those associated with M74 syndrome appearing in Baltic sea-run salmon (Salmo salar).

Ecological aspects of transformation in Poland's agriculture based on the Wielkopolska region
Article Abstract:
Various changes were brought about in the structure of agricultural land use in Poland, due to transformation of agriculture initiated by political changes in 1990s. It was found that in the Wielkopolska region, due to light soils the organic matter would wash away, for which shelterbelts were made.
