Fate of pesticides in Calcutta's municipal solid waste: Effect of composting
Article Abstract:
The solid waste arising from human activities has become one of the major environmental problems causing extensive pollution and posing many threats to human health. The levels of toxic organics in the compost samples were extremely small and the results provide information for the general public to make an objective judgment on composting as an alternative for waste management in a country like India, which lacks such data on Calcutta's municipal solid waste (MSW) compost.

Magnetic properties of vehicle-derived particulates and amelioration by Ficus infectoria: A keystone species
Article Abstract:
Magnetic minerals derived from vehicular combustion are mainly maghemite and metallic iron grains and are particularly dangerous to humans because of its ability to be inhaled into the lungs. It is revealed that this grain size minerals is particularly dangerous to humans because of its ability to be inhaled into the lungs.
