Foresting land use a change and its environment impact at a watershed scale
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to forecast and assess the impact of the predicted land use changes on long-term runoff and non-point source (NPS) pollution in the Muskegon River watershed, using an environmental impact analysis model. The implications of the results for decision-making and long-term urban planning are discussed.

Carbon dynamics and land-use choices: building a regional-scale multidisciplinary model
Article Abstract:
An integrated model is built on strong empirical foundations, which can be used to generate land-use baseline and C estimates. An ecological process model parameterized using field and other data are integrated with an economic model and estimated using historical data to ensure a close link to actual behavior.
