Functional and numerical responses of four lemming predators in high arctic Greenland
Article Abstract:
The impact of predation on the dynamics of the collared lemming with a four year cycle and >100-fold difference between maximum and minimum densities is assessed. It is found that each predator of the lemming plays a significant role at some point of the lemming cycle, but only the stoat has the potential to drive the lemming cycle.

On the use of connectivity measures in spatial ecology: a reply
Article Abstract:
The authors critique the use of patchwise connectivity measurement within highly fragmented habitats as too limiting. They define connectivity on both the patch scale and the landscape scale, rather than solely by patch, which gives the method a wider range of applicability.

On the use of connectivity measures in spatial ecology
Article Abstract:
The authors support the use of patchwise connectivity measurement for habitats that demonstrate a high level of fragmentation. Use of this method for conservation management and planning is discussed.
