Municipal hotlines and automated weather stations as a tool for monitoring bad odour dispersion: the northern Negev case
Article Abstract:
Research on weather station data and reports of foul odors shows a correlation between the dispersal of odors and wind direction, suggesting a level of predictability which may help in air quality and public health policy-making. Research was conducted in Negev, Israel, a region with several pollutant sources such as waste dumps, chemical plants and sewer reclamation ponds.
