Natural variability in soil and runoff from small headwater catchments at Storgama, Norway
Article Abstract:
A study is done to give an overview of the variation in soil and runoff for 11 small head water catchments at Storgama and determine how vegetation, soil, and other catchments properties influence fluxes in runoff. All catchments showed a rapid response in seasonal variation in precipitation and temperature having higher concentrations of inorganic nitrogen, and total organic carbon than other larger catchments.

Comparison of a mass balance and an ecosystem model approach when evaluating a carbon cycling in a lake ecosystem
Article Abstract:
Mass balance calculations and an ecosystem budget were compared in order to describe carbon processing in a shallow oligotrophic hard water lake. Valuable insights were given into the pathways of organic matter transfer in the ecosystem by the ecosystem budget.
