Permanent seafloor anoxia in coastal basins of the northwestern Gulf of Finland, Baltic Sea
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to acquire information about the geological and environmental conditions of the western archipelago of the Gulf of Finland, affected by inflows of the anoxic deep-water masses from the Northern Baltic proper, resulting in a decline in benthic life. The permanently anoxic bottoms found in the archipelago are reported and described.

Climate change effects on river flow to the Baltic Sea
Article Abstract:
The large-scale hydrological impacts of climate change to the Baltic Basin are assessed using the latest climate change scenarios from Swedish Regional Climate Modeling Programme (SWECLIM). The assessment would provide insight into how the different subregions of the Baltic Basin would be affected by simulated climate change.
