The economic impact of sea-level rise on nonmarket lands in Singapore
Article Abstract:
Sea-level rise as a result of climate change causes economic consequences on coastal regions of Singapore and an attempt is made to highlight the vulnerability of developed coastal lands and address non-market lands such as beaches, marshes and mangrove estuaries. The study reveals that consumers in Singapore attach considerable value to beaches so there is need to protect Singapore's popular beaches, as they are highly valued resources.

Predicting CO2 emissions from forests during climatic change: a comparison of natural and human response models
Article Abstract:
Natural and human response predictor models demonstrate different findings regarding future carbon dioxide emissions from forests. Research of forest ecology indicates that under the natural model, the amount of absorbed carbon released by US forests will go as high as 6.3 Pg between 1998 and 2060. However, human response predicts that levels of released carbon may be mitigated or reversed by logging.
