The evolution of morphological diversity
Article Abstract:
Evolutionary rate changes have been found to be heavily influenced by morphological disparity. During early radiation of multiple clades, morphological disparity at low taxonomic diversity generated major alterations of evolutionary rates. This finding emphasizes the importance of ecological and genomic factors in extinction selectivity and macroevolution.

The role of hybridization and introgression in the diversification of animals
Article Abstract:
Introgressive hybridization has played a significant role in animal evolutionary diversification. It has produced instantaneous generation of several unique polyploid and unisexual complexes of animals. From these two complexes, allopolyploidy has permitted diversification, while unisexual taxa have facilitated gene exchange between related sexual species.

Dissecting global diversity patterns: examples from the Ordovician Radiation
Article Abstract:
Major diversity increases were not generated by the Ordovician Radiation period alone but were produced as cumulative effects from a variety of mechanisms. Although tectonic activity was enhanced during this period, it proved beneficial for some organisms but detrimental to others, reducing diversity by eliminating some organisms.
