The role of predators in ship rat and house mouse population eruptions: drivers or passengers?
Article Abstract:
The role of predation in the population dynamics of eruptive small mammal communities is investigated using the small mammal assemblage from the mixed forests in New Zealand. Food plays a major role in driving the early stages of the mouse and rat eruption.

Predator-induced morphological defence in ciliates: interclonal variation for sensitivity to the inducing factors
Article Abstract:
The interclonal variation in the expression of predator-induced morphological defense in ciliates is examined. Results indicate genetic variation for sensitivity to the inducing factors in Euplotes octocarinatus.`

Mass-dependence in the predation risk of unequal competitors; some models
Article Abstract:
The effect of competitive ability for the mass-dependence in predation risk is evaluated. The implication of the attack distance effect on a lower increase in the predation risk is discussed.
