Understanding heavy metal and suspended solids relationships in urban stormwater using simulated rainfall
Article Abstract:
Urban stormwater from simulated rainfall on three different landuses in Queensland State, Australia was analyzed for heavy metals and physico-chemical parameters such as Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Findings reveal that DOC and TSS influence the distribution of the metals in the different particle size classes.

Removal of heavy metals in rinsing wastewater from platting factory by adsorption with economical viable materials
Article Abstract:
Investigation by the column method of removal of heavy metals from plating factory wastewater with economical materials is done. This method is highly effective as removal efficiency tended to increase with increasing pH and decrease with increasing metal concentration.

Biosorption of copper (II) from chemical mechanical planarization wastewaters
Article Abstract:
The treatment of Copper Chemical Mechanical (Cu-CMP) slurry waste using immobilized bacteria is feasible is demonstrated and warrants further investigation at the pilot scale. A predictive, empirical model was used to accurately describe Cu removal.
