Article Abstract:
Family science research and development is naturally interdisciplinary and appeals to both academic and lay person audiences. There are many markets for family science information that are unused because of the demands of academia. Some of the alternative publishing markets include lay magazines, computer software, interactive learning systems and audio-visual materials. The additional markets can increase authors' networks and future employment opportunities. For example, family science information on video tape can be used in correspondance courses and adult education seminars.
