Menstruation put into a social context
Article Abstract:
Of the women who suffer from symptoms associated with menstruation, studies show that a combination of biological, social and behavioural aspects should be considered when defining these experiences. Women with premenstrual tension (PMT) tend to expect premenstrual symptoms more than the women defined as having low severity symptoms. They also suffer from depression, stress, and are not generally formally educated. Women suffering from premenstrual magnification report similar experiences to the PMT sufferers, although they tend to have greater stress and depression ratings.

The meeker sex
Article Abstract:
Violence and aggressiveness may be culturally-determined learned behavior, rather than gender-based behavior dependent on hormonal differences. A study of American and Israeli toddlers found the Israeli girls less aggressive than Israeli boys, but 20% more aggressive than American boys.
