A comprehensive tasting of the reds of Crus Bourgeois, Graves, Haut-Medoc, Margaux, Pauillac, Pomerol, St.-Emilion, St.-Estephe and St.-Julien found many good Bordeaux, but quite a number of them were definitely past their primes. Detailed evaluations of each wine is broken down into the regions.

Fabled '70 Bordeaux at its peak

A tasting of Bordeaux wine resulted in a few having been aged too long, but the overall quality of the 1970 vintage is very good to excellent. Wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes provided. Evaluations are grouped by district.

Bordeaux on a budget

Bordeaux vintages of 1984 and 1987 are excellent for bargain hunters. While they are not of the quality of the better vintages, they are good for drinking now.
