Around the world of Pinot Noir
Article Abstract:
Pinot Noir, cultivated in Burgundy for more than 1000 years and with wines from New Zealand, Oregon and California extremely popular, is an example of a wine, which is both classic and modern. A tasting highlighted 10 Pinot Noirs that included J. Faiveley's Mercury Clos des Myglands 1999 and Argyle Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Nuthouse 2001, selected for their quality and individuality, and also to emphasize that Pinot Noir is capable of distinctly different styles, if grown in the right places.
