Cooler is better for Oregon Pinot
Article Abstract:
Oregon has seen a pattern of hot summers since 1998, but colder temperatures during the early part of the 2004 growing season helped wine producers make elegant Pinot Noirs. With lower alcohol levels and fresh fruit flavors, the well-balanced wines of the 2004 vintage and to an extent the 2005 vintage, are of the desired high quality when compared to the previous vintages.
