Chilean vintners are producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons, Carmeneres and Pinot Noirs, but have remained a static group with no new winegrowers coming in. Diversity in varietals as well as in wineries is necessary for the growth of more outstanding wineries and wines in Chile.
