The 1995 Oregon Pinot Noir vintage was affected negatively by the cool, wet season, but a few excellent wines emerged. Vintages from 1985 to 1995 are rated, and top-scoring wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided.

Williams Selyem has consistently made very good to excellent Pinot Noir. Burt Williams and Ed Selyem began making their wines on an informal scale in 1981 in California. A tasting of 59 bottles of Selyem Pinot Noir is discussed.

Results of blind tastings of Pinot Noirs from 1987 to 1991 are given. Wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with prices included. A very few Pinot Noirs from Texas and Pennsylvania are also rated.
