Out of the past: Argentina makes great values, especially in reds, but a rustic style still predominates

Wine Spectator tasted 50 Argentine wines, and many were good, selling at reasonable prices. The wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with prices given. A 1992 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon was rated the best at 91. It sells for $16. Wines are listed alphabetically.
